I got a chance to go to a wonderful conference on promoting literacy to Latino children. This was a wake up call for me to get moving on my career. In reality, I am in school to one day have my own business. However, children will always be in my heart. I really love the students I work with, but I have known for some time,it is time to move my life forward. It was great to see sisterhood front and center at the conference. I realize it makes me sad in some ways, because I think about the friends in the past that I wish I could share this information with, and ideas I had in my mind about a business. I also got a chance to talk to a friend from the past, and discern that I am coming into my own. I also realize that the confidence I saw and maybe even got from these girls made me feel confident to speak in Spanish without thinking of what she thought of me. I just had fun talking to a friend. Life is so short, and I am truly living my life the best I can. I hope you all crave this motto as well from your family, friends, and your significant other. Therefore, I will always matter in the choices I make in my life. YA'LL, it is scary, but it is worth the experience to live an authentic life. :)
